Best Laser Skin Treatment

 Skin
A perfectly toned glowing skin is what everyone hopes for. Many of us do take care of it as much as we can while some of us just do not have enough time to do so. By the way did you know skin is the largest organ of our body?
Skin being the largest organ of our body comprises of two layers, the upper ‘epidermis’ and the lower ‘dermis’ which are further divided into layers. These layers contain skin cells responsible for various functions.
Like the lower most layer of the epidermis contains melanocytes cells which produce pigment called melanin. This pigment Melanin is basically responsible for giving our skin its natural colour. Our skin tone highly depends on the amount of melanin produced by our skin cells.
Pigmentation in human beings varies from person to person and tribes to tribes. This is the reason you get to see such classification of people on their skin tone basis.
It’s not just the tone of the skin that matters. There are many other important functions that our skin performs.
  • Our skin acts as a shield to our body. It is also said to be an anatomical barrier from pathogens.
  • It acts as a messenger in reference to sensation. It senses the temperature variations , touch, pressure, injuries or any kind of vibrations
  • It helps in controlling evaporation and acts as a dry and (semi) water resistant barrier to fluid loss. It makes sure that we don’t loose on the essential nutrients and oils present in our body.
  • Helps in absorbing oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Remember many living creatures use their skin as respiratory organs.
  • Apart from this it also acts as a storage center for water and lipids
Acne, Pimples
Our skin has some tiny pores which connect with oil glands located under the skin. These pores are connected to oil glands via follicles (small canals). These glands produce Sebum an oily liquid which carries dead skin cells through the follicles to the surface of your skin. When these follicles get blocked it results in acne, pimples, freckles etc. Even when they are treated they tend to leave scars which can further be cured by certain procedures and treatments.

Moles, Warts and other Skin growths

Our skin has cells called Melanocytes. Melanocytes are responsible for giving our skin its natural color. At times these cells (melanocytes) grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout. This is how Moles are caused.
Warts on the other hand are common growths occurring due to skin being infected by Human Papilloma Virus . It is a kind of infectious disease which can widespread if frequently touched or picked.

Vitiligo

Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease because in this disease a person’s immune system reacts against the body’s own organs or tissues. The main reason for vitiligo is de-pigmentation. But till date there has been no precise conclusion as to why it occurs.

Pigmentation

Many a times we get to see changes in our skin tone. The color change may happen due to both over production or reduced production of melanin. The situation where one suffers from over production if melanin is called Hyper-Pigmentation where as the situation where one suffers from reduced production of melanin is called Hypo-pigmentation. In hyper Pigmentation this state the skin tone tends to get darker than its usual color. Where as in hypo pigmentation the skin tone tends to get lighter than its natural color.
The other reason why pigmentation occurs can be because of thickening of the epidermis layer and its vascularity. Normally when one suffers from pigmentation disorders you get to see white patches on some parts of the body or then the whole body.

Acne Scars, Freckles

Chronic inflammatory skin diseases like acne, pimples, blackheads etc are quite common. Their cure is the main concern. Often when we treat acne be it through a home remedy, lotions, medicines or a surgical process, they often leave scars or marks behind. In fact it is often heard that one should never pop or pluck your pimple as they tend to spread infection and leave a mark behind.
Freckles on the other hand are usually brown spots on the skin usually found on our face or arms. They generally occur due to uneven distribution of the melanin (pigment produced by skin cells) in the skin. They also have a tendency of getting darker or increasing n number when exposed to sun.
